HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Cross Country travels to one of the largest meets of the season Saturday morning with the 24th Annual Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park.Â
Both Herd teams will compete in the "Gold Race" which is the premier race and the earliest of the morning. The Men's 8K begins at 9 a.m. with the Women's 6K to follow at 9:45 a.m.
"We are very excited, this is one of the biggest meets of the cross country season," Head Coach Caleb Bowen said. "We get to see our conference mate Arkansas State, we are actually in neighboring boxes in the same race. It's a great race, the weather looks good, the kids are excited and ready to roll. This will be a big test as now is the time we really want to focus on our performances, getting faster, and gearing up for the conference meet at the end of the month."Â
Over 109 schools will be represented across six races on Saturday. For the course map, view HERE.Â
