Herd Swimmers Luniushina and McNamara Head to Austin for US Open

Sophomores set to compete at premier event

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Swimming sophomores Kseniia Luniushina and Lauren McNamara are off to the US Open in Austin, Texas, December 4-6.
Prelims are set for 10 AM EST/9 AM CST each morning with finals at 7 PM EST/6 PM CST each night.
Luniushina is set to compete in the 50 Backstroke on Thursday and the 100 Backstroke on Friday. McNamara is set to compete in the 200 Butterfly.
The elite event requires certain standard times to qualify and features some of the best swimmers in the country and collegiate swimming, including Olympic Gold medalists Kate Douglass, Alex Walsh and Gretchen Walsh.
