Championship meet set to begin Wednesday in Orlando

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Swimming and Diving team is set to compete at the Sun Belt Conference Championships in Orlando, Florida. The four-day meet is set to begin on Wednesday at the Rosen Aquatic Center.
SCHEDULE (DIVING PRELIMS AND FINAL SESSIONS STREAMED ON ESPN+)
Wednesday, February 19 – Finals 6 p.m.
Thursday, February 20 – Prelims 10 a.m., Diving Prelims/Consolations 1 p.m., Finals 6 p.m.
Friday, February 20 – Prelims 10 a.m., Diving Prelims/Consolations 1 p.m., Finals 6 p.m.
Saturday, February 21 – Prelims 10 a.m., Diving Prelims/Consolations 1 p.m., Finals 6 p.m.
HAVE YOU HERD
Grace Kelsheimer won seven of the conference's Diver of the Week awards. The senior is qualified for NCAA Diving Zones in both the 1m and 3m while setting the Fitch Natatorium pool record in the 1m on February 1 against Georgia Southern with a score of 310.50.
The Herd captured nine of the 14 SBC Swimmer of the Week Awards with Kseniia Luniushina winning five, Madeline Hart winning two and Paige Banton and Molly Warner each winning one.
Luniushina currently holds the program and Sun Belt record in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 53.16 while also holding the program record in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 1:58.20.
Lauren McNamara set the program record in the 200 Butterfly against Georgia Southern with a time of 2:00.15.
