HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The No. 52 Marshall University Tennis team (13-3, 2-2 SBC) is set to play the App State Mountaineers (8-5, 2-2 SBC) on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Brian David Fox Tennis Center in Huntington.

PREMATCH NOTES

The Herd took its matches over Southern Miss and South Alabama last weekend with a 4-0 sweep in each contest.
Marshall has been stout in doubles with the pairings of Emma Vanderheyden/Alina Mokrynskaya, Sophia Hurrion/Aisling McGrane and Johanna Strom/Nel Van Hout sporting 9-4, 8-2 and 8-3 records across No. 1-3 doubles, respectively.
In singles, Strom sports a 9-4 record at the No. 1 position, including a 6-3 mark in her last 10 matches.

SCOUTING APP STATE

The Mountaineers also picked up wins over the Jaguars and Golden Eagles.
Savanah Dada-Mascoll sports a 9-2 record in No. 1 singles during the Spring.
In doubles, Olwyn Ryan-Bovey and Naledi Manyube are 6-1 across the No. 1 and No. 2 positions.
