No. 50 Herd Tennis Falls in SBC Opener at JMU

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The No. 50 Marshall University Tennis team (11-2, 0-1 SBC) fell 4-1 in its Sun Belt Conference opener at James Madison (3-8, 1-2 SBC) on Friday afternoon in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Johanna Stroma and Nel Van Hout were leading 5-3 at No. 3 doubles as the Dukes took doubles point from The Herd.

In singles, Aisling McGrane battled back after falling in the first set to take her contest at No. 5 singles in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
