Herd Gets No. 2 Seed for 2025 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall Softball (31-22, 15-9 SBC) finishes the 2025 regular season as the Sun Belt Conference runner-up. As a result, Coach Morgan Zerkle's Herd will begin its postseason Thursday as the No. 2 seed at the 2025 SBC Softball Championship hosted by Troy.
The Herd will face the winner of No. 7 Coastal Carolina and No. 10 Southern Miss in Thursday's second quarterfinal at 2 p.m. eastern, 1 central.
