Herd Volleyball Earns 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Volleyball was named a 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award, as announced by the AVCA on Monday.

To earn the award, the team must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA for the 2024-25 year with The Herd being an honoree for the fifth consecutive year. MU finished with a 3.73 GPA during the spring semester.

Entering the 2025 season Marshall is under first-year Head Coach Heather Stout. The team opens the season with its Green and White match in the Scaggs Family Practice Facility on August 16 at 11 am with the team's first home match being against EKU in the Cam Henderson Center on September 9 at 6 pm.
