Herd Volleyball Adds Calli Gentry to Coaching Staff

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Volleyball Head Coach Heather Stout announced the addition of Calli Gentry to the team's staff as the Director of Operations on Thursday.

"We're thrilled to welcome Calli to Huntington," Stout said about adding Gentry to the staff. "She has already made her mark as an outstanding athlete, and we're proud to see her bring that same passion, discipline, and competitive spirit to our Herd."

Gentry joins The Herd after spending the spring as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Green Bay, her alma mater. Gentry assisted with recruiting evaluations, training setters and middle/RS, planning practices and fundraising.

"Her experience, leadership, and commitment will be instrumental in elevating our program and inspiring our athletes both on and off the court," Stout added.

Gentry had a decorated playing career at Green Bay from 2019-24. Starting as a walk-on before earning a scholarship after her sophomore season, Gentry ended her playing career with over 100 aces, 1,000 digs and 4,256 assists, third most in program history.

Gentry earned a Second-Team All-Horizon League nod in 2024 with a first-team honor in 2022 as she was on the league's All-Academic Team three times (2021, 2022 and 2024) and won the Horizon League Sportsmanship Award in 2023.
