This Week In Thundering Herd Events: Aug. 4-10

Fans First Soccer Ticket Link – Aug. 9 | 2025-26 Athletics Tickets

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics kicks off the 2025-26 sports seasons this week with several events that will build excitement for the new sports year.

It all starts on Wednesday night with Fans First Day from 6-8 p.m. at Joan C. Edwards Stadium where all of Herd Nation is invited to come meet student-athletes and coaches from our fall sports programs during a fun evening with several interactive events.

The signature event will be the Kids Club T-Shirt Design contest where designs are taken for shirts to be worn by the Kids Club at fall events this year. Designs must be submitted at Fans First Day to be eligible for selection and there will be one winner selected in each of these sports: Volleyball, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer.

In addition to the T-Shirt Design Contest, there will also be posters for patrons as well as autograph and photo opportunities with Marshall student-athletes and coaches.

On Saturday, fans get to see their first action of the 2025-26 athletics year with a soccer doubleheader at Hoops Family Field. Marshall Women's Soccer opens things at 4 p.m. against UPike while Marshall Men's Soccer takes on Villanova at 7:15 p.m. Admission is free, but fans need to claim tickets through this LINK.

Between games, Marshall Soccer will also host 'Party On The Plaza' at Hoops Family Field following the completion of the women's Fans First game. 'Party On The Plaza' will feature food trucks, a T-Shirt Design Station, inflatables, beer and a live DJ while also offering fans another chance to get autographs and photos with our soccer student-athletes.
