Marshall Football’s Oct. 11 Game Vs. Old Dominion Set For 3:30 p.m.

Herd, Monarchs meet in afternoon SBC East matchup at The Joan
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Football's 2025 Sun Belt Conference home opener against Old Dominion is a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff and will be shown on ESPN+, the league announced on Monday.
The Sun Belt made the announcement in coordination with ESPN, as part of the league's 12-day window for televised games.
Marshall's contest with Old Dominion is the first SBC home game for new head coach Tony Gibson and matches two teams who are vying for the SBC East Division title.
This will be the 11th all-time meeting with the teams as the two sides have faced each other annually since Old Dominion joined Conference USA for the 2014 season.
Marshall and Old Dominion also joined the Sun Belt Conference together prior to the 2022 season.
Historically, the Herd has had the best of the matchup, boasting of a 9-1 record all-time against the Monarchs, which includes a 5-0 record in Huntington.
However, the series has been highly-competitive with three of the last four games being one-score games, including last year's epic 42-35 contest in Norfolk, which helped springboard the Herd to the SBC East Division title.
The Oct. 11 contest against Old Dominion is sponsored by Delta Hotels by Marriott and will also serve as the "We Are … Herd Strong" contest where Marshall Athletics honors and remembers those who have been impacted by cancer.
