10/4/2026 4:25:00 PM | Women's Soccer
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall Women's Soccer (6-2-4, 2-0-2 SBC) remains unbeaten at home this season following a back-and-forth 2-2 draw with Georgia Southern (7-2-3, 2-1-1 SBC) Sunday afternoon.
The Herd led for the majority of the match, following Luana Gusmao's 33rd minute strike. The Eagles equalized off a corner in the 82nd before briefly taking the lead in the 87th, before Larissa Ozorio tied the match up once more with less than 90 seconds remaining to salvage a draw.

"I was really happy with the first half, second half until the last 15 minutes I was really happy," said Coach Simoes. "We don't like giving up on set pieces, that is something we are big on and the second was something we could not have expected, that is soccer. But I am really proud of Larissa being able to put in a good shot and tie, and that means we are still undefeated at home in SBC matches since 2024 because of her efforts. So really proud of her and the team for not giving up."

Fittingly for the draw, the two sides finished with 14 shots apiece. Junior goalkeeper Emma Durand finished the match with three saves.
The Herd hits the road to face Old Dominion Thursday evening, October 8 at 7 p.m.
