Marshall Women’s Basketball Hosts Army West Point in WNIT “Great 8” Monday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Women's Basketball (25-9) has advanced to the WNIT Great 8 where the Herd will get to host Army West Point (26-7) Monday evening at 6 p.m.
A win would tie Marshall's all-time program record and send MU to the WNIT Fab 4. The full bracket can be viewed HERE.

COACH JULI FULKS
- Head Coach Juli Fulks is in year two leading Marshall's Women's Basketball program. Fulks came to the Herd with a prestigious 400 wins while leading Transylvania to the 2022-23 DIII National Championship.
- Fulks and the Herd oversaw a seven win conference improvement in 2025-26, and eight more wins to this point from year one to year two.
PREGAME NOTES
- Marshall's 26 wins in the 2023-24 season were its most in program history. 24 wins in 1986-87 was the previous high, a number surpassed with the Herd's victory Friday over Youngstown State.
- Senior Meredith Maier is at 964 career points. Her 85 made 3-pointers this season is one away from matching Shayna Gore's mark in 2017-18 for 2nd all-time in a single season. Gore also holds the record with 96 in 2018-19.
- Timaya Lewis-Eutsey's 660 points is the 3rd-most in program history in a single-season. Only Karen Pelphrey has scored more in three-consecutive seasons from 1983-86.

ABOUT THE BLACK KNIGHTS
- Army is 26-7 this season with two wins so far in the WNIT. The team went 14-4 in the Patriot League this year, falling to Holy Cross in the tournament semifinals.
- Head Coach Katie Kuester has had a successful first season as a head coach. The Maggie Dixon Award is given annually to a first-time head coach in a memoriam to honor the late Maggie Dixon, a coach at Army.
- Monday will be the first all-time meeting between the two sides.
