Herd Women’s 4x100 Team Races Top-Two Mark in School History on Final Day of Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Marshall Track & Field tallied six top-10 finishes and racked up more personal and season bests at the Virginia Challenge, closing out the two-day meet with momentum as the outdoor season heads into its final stretch.
The Thundering Herd Women's 4x100 team raced a time of 45.22, a season-best, the second-best mark in school history, and currently the second-best mark in the Sun Belt Conference.
The Marshall men saw a number of new members to its Top-5 marks since the program returned in 2023, including a pair of underclassmen with Kylan Overstreet and Cameron Burgess placing into the Top-3 in the 110 meter hurdles.

Track Events
Destiny Berryman (15th, 17:29.09) and Justin Lipscomb (14.44.28) led the women and men in the 5K. Sophomore Kylan Overstreet led the Herd men in the 110m Hurdles (19th, 14.56), a new personal-best - a second-best time for the program since 2023. Freshman Cameron Burgess followed behind (21st, 14.70). The Women's 4x100 team's aforementioned 4th place finish trails only Georgia Southern's 45.14 mark. Bay'Andria Hodges (10th, 23.91) and Iniya Charlton (11th, 23.93) went back-to-back in the 200m.
Field Events
Cole Miller's Long Jump Friday (7.35m) was Top-5 all time mark and number 2 since the return of the program and Top 8 in the SBC. Starting Saturday Ryan Muktar (2nd, 2.06m) and Evan Weder (3rd, 2.06, PB) went Top-3 in the event, both top marks since the program's return. Otenidi Omot followed close behind (5th, 2.01m PB), also a Top-5 mark.
