HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Women's Basketball (27-9) has advanced to the WNIT Championship where the Herd will host Illinois State (24-13) Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Cam Henderson Center

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME NOTES
- The Postseason WNIT started in 1998 with a champion crowned every season with the exception of the 2020 pandemic. Saturday will be the second WNIT title game to take place in the state of West Virginia after UCLA faced WVU in Charleston in 2015.
- Saturday will be the first WNIT Championship game appearance for both Marshall and Illinois State. Both teams are seeking their first Postseason Tournament Championship
- The Cam Henderson Center has been home to a Postseason Championship last in 2019. Marshall's Men's Basketball team defeated Green Bay to win the 2019 CIT Championship, on Apr. 4, 2019.
