HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics is excited for Herd fans to come together for an event-filled weekend, highlighted by the 2026 Marshall Football Spring Game at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

Marshall Football head coach Tony Gibson leads the 2026 Thundering Herd into the 2026 Marshall Spring Game in a fan-centric, interactive day of football at The Joan.

"We're excited to see everyone pack the Joan as we wrap up Spring practice," Gibson said. "The weather is going to be perfect on Saturday for the Spring Fountain Ceremony and the game. We look forward to having our Marshall Football Alumni join us on the field, along with our fans once the game is done. There's baseball and tennis at home, too, so fans can grab some gear at the team store and cheer on the Herd."

The game's format will include two halves and a fun halftime special. The first half of the game will be standard, live game play.

The 2026 Marshall Football Spring Game will take on an Offense (White) vs. Defense (Green) format. Offensive scoring will be normal while defensive points will be awarded for the following situations:

-      3 points for a defensive stop

-      5 points for a defensive takeaway

-      11 points for a takeaway resulting in a touchdown (Ex: a pick-6 or fumble return)

At halftime, Marshall welcomes the return of Marshall Football Alumni members back home for an on-field treat as they address the fans.

Following the halftime ceremony, Fan Day will commence with fans being invited on the field to get autographs and pictures of their favorite Marshall players and coaches. There will also be a poster giveaway on-field.

Tickets for the game are $5 and parking in the West Lot is $20. All proceeds from the game go to the Marshall Quarterback Club – the official booster club of Marshall Football. To purchase tickets and parking, click HERE.

Parking in the West Lot, which opens at 9 a.m., is sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so fans are advised to purchase parking through the link. Those doing so will receive a digital parking pass. Parking will still be available for purchase on the day of event for $20 – cash only.
