Director of T&F Keith Roberts' Herd had four All-Conference members from the SBC Indoor Championships, including senior Lara Check, gold-medal winner of the Long Jump. The native of Australia has already set a Preliminary Qualifying mark.

"I am hoping to jump another PR, as I have been jumping well and hitting PRs in practice," said Check. "The goal would be Top-3 as there is some great competition this outdoor season."

Another All-Conference member from Indoor Season is senior Markayla Moore. The senior from Huntington has had a career-season. As a senior, Moore has set PRs in Hammer Throw, Weight Throw, and Shot Put all in 2026.

"My goals are to bring the energy, leave everything out on the track with this being my last year, and uplift my teammates," said Moore. "The team just needs to stay positive, show up your best-self, and be on time!"

On the men's side, some of the best marks in the entire conference have come from the Herd men's jumps crew.

The trio of Otenidi Omot, Cam Hamby, and Trashaun Smith currently holds the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-best marks in Triple Jump in the SBC heading into the Championships. All three have surpassed the school's record mark this season.

"My personal goals of course include not getting injured, doing better than I have all season, and trying to get on the podium, and of course try to win and improve overall," said Hamby.

A crew of 64 Marshall athletes are heading to the University of South Alabama with the goal of helping the Herd in the SBC Championships.

"Our overall goal is to score as many points as possible," said Miller. "Sliding into finals where you may not be projected to make it but setting a PR and making your way in to earn as many points as possible is the overall team goal."
