GP/GS: 46/44 … Made 43-of-44 starts at first base … First start of the season versus Bethune Cookman (Feb. 17) as designated player and picked up first career hit in first plate appearance … Steady fielder that made many great stretches at first and committed just three errors in 206 chances good for a .985 fielding percentage … Hit .287 with 31 hits, 10 RBI, three doubles and one home run … Fourth on the team with .414 on base percentage … Patient batter was second on the team with 22 walks … Was walked twice in three contests: UTSA (March 11), WKU (March 26) and Wright State (April 5) … Reached base safely in 17-straight games from March 26 to April 29 … Hit .353 in conference games with an on base percentage of .515 helped lead to Conference USA All-Freshman team honors … Had four multi-hit games … 2-for-4 in win over Hampton (Feb. 25) … First extra base hit was a sixth inning leadoff double at Charlotte (March 18) … Crushed first career home run to leadoff the fourth inning at Southern Miss (April 1) and give the Herd a 2-0 lead in what became the team’s 17th-straight win … Went 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored against Florida Atlantic (April 9) … 2-for-3 with a walk and one RBI at home versus UAB (May 6) … Hit final double of the year against WKU (May 11) in the first round of the conference tournament.
High School: Attended Carl Albert High School … Oklahoma State champions in 2013 … Was named Oklahoma All-District, All-Region 11 and All-State (Big West) catcher in 2015 … Honored as the Oklahoma All-District 5A-1 Defensive Player of the Year in 2015 … High school career batting average of .421, on base percentage of .532 and an impressive career fielding percentage of .988 … While in high school was involved in Key Club, National Honors Society, 4.0 Club, Rotary Club, Student Council, ACT 100 Club and Leadership Class … Played travel ball for Oklahoma Exclusive, Oklahoma Her-icanes and Florida Gulf Coast Hurricanes … Gold Coast Hurricanes finished in second place in the Junior Olympic Cup in Atlanta, Ga. in 2016.
