2022 (Sophomore): Competed in all six meets for Marshall as a sophomore, setting two PR's...Opened season with a 5k time of 25:57.8 at Mike Baumer XC Classic...Set new 8k PR of 25:01.9 at Louisville Classic....Finished 21st at Sun Belt Championships, racing a 25:32.9...Finished season with a 10k PR at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, racing a 32:12.9.
2021 (Freshman): Competed in five meets as a freshman...opened Collegiate career with a 20:23.4 6K at Virginia Tech Invitational...ran first career 8K at Virginia Invitational, racing a time of 28:07.3....continued to improve 8K time, racing a 27:43.1 at VertCross, and 26:41.1 at C-USA Championships, scoring a 50th place finish as a freshman...concluded opening season with a 10K time of 34:42.5.

PRIOR TO MARSHALL: Branden attended Louisa County High School in Louisa, Virginia. While in high school, he was named Region 4A Champion in Cross Country 2020 and won the Fredericksburg All Area Athlete of The Year 2019. He won awards for his academic success in high school as well, being named student of the year in subjects such as biology, chemistry, and Spanish. After his career at Marshall, Branden hopes to become a video game designer.Â
PERSONAL: Hometown is Louisa, Virginia. His parents are Daniel and Carrie Wood and he has two younger sisters named Alyssa and Erica. His birth date is March 3, 2003.
