R-SENIOR SEASON (2019): Big, playmaking tight end who served as a game captain, earned second-team all-conference honors and appeared on SportsCenter’s Top plays … Played in all 13 games, starting 12 … Led the team in receptions with 43 … Led the team in receiving yardage with 553 … Also caught three touchdowns … Game captain vs. Charlotte … Conference USA second team pick at tight end … Also earned the Chad Pennington Award at the end-of-season team banquet, an honor bestowed upon the player who gives his all on and off the field … Standout performance against WKU in which he caught a career-high 10 passes for 77 and a touchdown … Five receptions vs. Ohio … Three catches for a then-career-high 94 yards and a touchdown against Middle Tennessee … Against MT, turned a one-handed, acrobatic catch into a 75-yard touchdown reception that ended up as one of ESPN’s top plays of the day … Caught seven passes for a career-high 96 yards vs. Rice … Three receptions for 67 yards in the Gasparilla Bowl against UCF … Ranked second among Conference USA tight ends in receptions and receiving yards … First tight end to lead Marshall in receiving since Cody Slate in 2007.
