Kerri Francis is entering her second year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Thundering Herd. She works with the men’s soccer and women’s track & field programs.
Prior to arriving at Marshall, Francis served as the Head Athletic Trainer & Senior Woman Administrator at Bluefield State College in Bluefield, WV for 15 years from 2002-2017. While at BSC, she served as the only certified athletic trainer and covered all 10 NCAA Division II sports at BSC. She also served as the sponsor of the Student-Athletic Advisory Committee. Francis was also a preceptor for athletic training students from Concord University. She is still an adjunct faculty member at BSC.
Francis served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Marshall University from 2000-2001 and received her Master of Science degree in Physical Education. While at Marshall, she served as the graduate assistant with the Huntington High School boys soccer, women’s basketball, and softball teams.
Francis, a native of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Marshall University in 1999. While at Marshall, she served as a student athletic trainer with teams including men’s basketball, football, and volleyball. Francis is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and is registered as an Athletic Trainer in West Virginia.
