GP/GS: 54/54 … “The Sniper” started 53-of-54 games at catcher and one game at designated player versus Delaware State (March 5) … Continued to gun down runners with 16 caught stealing and nine pickoffs both good for second most in a season in program history … Major factor in Herd allowing just 20 stolen bases while swiping 162 for the largest base-stealing difference (+142) since Alabama had a +156 in 2009 … Threw out two runners in the same inning in win over Florida Atlantic (April 8) including Madisyn Palmer one of the top 15 base stealers in the country … Set several offensive career-highs in batting average (.349), runs (41), hits (53), doubles (11), home runs (12), RBI (52), total bases (102), slugging percentage (.671), walks (24), on base percentage (.429) and stolen bases (19) … Led the Herd in home runs, RBI and walks … Drove in a run in 33 games and had two or more RBI 13 times and the Herd was 12-1 in those contests … Drove in four runs in three games: Bethune Cookman (Feb. 17), South Carolina State (March 3) and UTSA (March 11) all Herd wins … Drove in 25 runs during Herd’s 17-game winning streak … Recorded a hit in 35 games and had 15 multi-hit contests … Reached base safely in 48-of-54 games … Began 2017 season in almost the same fashion as 2016 season with a solo home run late in the first game of the season to tie the contest at 1-1 and help push to extra innings, against Lipscomb (Feb. 10) in the bottom of the sixth … Hit game-ending, three-run home run in the sixth against Bethune Cookman to give Marshall 10-2 win … First multi-SB game of career came against Hampton (Feb. 25) with two … Stole three bases at Georgia Southern (March 4) including taking second in the top of the seventh to move into scoring position with Herd trailing by one and later scored game-tying run … Crushed two home runs in 3-for-3 performance at home versus UTSA (March 11) with four RBI, one double and one walk … Was named C-USA Player of the Week (March 13) after UTSA series finishing the weekend going 6-for-9 at the plate, slugged 1.444, 26 putouts, two assists and no errors on defense … Went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, a double, a home run and tossed out two runners in win at Southern Miss (April 1) … Hit first career triple against Ohio (April 18) … In first game of series at Middle Tennessee (April 29) hit 3-for-3 with a walk, tied a Herd single-game record with four runs scored and added a double, a home run and a stolen base … Drove in a run an threw out a base-stealer against Illinois (May 19) at the NCAA Regionals in Lexington … Is tied for second all-time at Marshall with 43 runners caught stealing … Needs just six more RBI to become 10th Herd player in the 100 RBI Club.
