AS A SENIOR (2020-21)
No fall season due to COVID-19. In her senior season, Anna finished with a 6-9 singles record after competing in 15 of 16 competitions. She participated in 13 doubles matches, finishing with a record of 6-4 in her final season with the Herd. Named to the ITA 2021 Scholar Athletes, given to athletes with a GPA of at least 3.5 during the current academic year. She was part of the team that earned the Conference USA Sport Academic Award and ITA All-Academic Team forf the 2020-21 season.
AS A JUNIOR (19-2020)
In the fall season, she went 2-1 with in doubles with doubles partner Dani Dankanych. She had a great singles showing going 5-2. She went undefeated at the College of Charleston Invitational and the Wofford Invitational. In the spring season, Anna played in all 17 matches that the Herd competed in. She had an overall singles record of 8- 7, she collected wins against C-USA schools Middle Tennessee and North Texas. She also had an overall double’s record as 11-9 She was named All-Conference Singles Second-Team. The team was named an ITA All-Academic Team and she was named an ITA- Scholar Athlete. She also received a Commissioners Academic Medal and was on the Commissioners Honor Roll.
Earned all-conference honors for the first time in her career, landing on the All-Conference USA Singles Second Team ... Finished the season ranked 17th in the Atlantic region ... Led Marshall with 19 combined (fall and spring) singles wins and 11 doubles wins ... Became the first player at Marshall to hit 30 total wins in a season since 2017 ... Led the Herd with a career-high 12 singles wins during the spring season ... Won her first career match against a ranked opponent against James Madison (Feb. 1) ... Defeated Power Five opponents from Louisville, Penn State and West Virginia during dual match singles play ... Won Conference USA singles matches against FIU, Middle Tennessee and UAB ... Paired with Daniela Dankanych to form Marshall's top doubles team, finishing the season with a 6-1 mark in their last seven completed matches at the No. 1 spot ... Earned a doubles win at the Conference USA Championships against Charlotte ... Earned doubles wins against Conference USA opponents Middle Tennesse and UAB, along with a doubles win over Power Five opponent Louisville ... Compiled a 7-4 singles record during the fall season ... Won the consolation bracket of the Hokie Fall Invite ... Five of her seven wins during the fall season came in straight sets ... Defeated opponents from West Virginia and Penn State ... Named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team for the first time in her career ... Named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll ... Recipient of the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.
AS A FRESHMAN (2018)
Posted a strong finish to a debut season after starting slow ... Went 9-2 in her last 11 singles decisions ... Tied for the team lead in singles wins (11) and doubles wins (11) ... Led the Herd in overall wins during the spring season (22) ... Had an eight-match singles win streak during the middle of the season, the longest by a freshman since Maddie Silver accomplished the feat in 2015 ... Her eight-match win streak was the longest by any Herd player in 2018 ... Named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll ... Recipient of the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal for having a grade point average above 3.75 ... Named an ITA Academic All-American.
PRIOR TO MARSHALL
Four-star recruit ranked 51st in the country by TennisRecruiting.net … Collected seven wins over blue chip and five-star prospects during her senior year of high school … Doubles quarterfinalist at the Canadian Junior ITF tournament … Doubles finalist at the USTA National L3 tournament … Won the backdraw of the singles bracket of the USTA National L3 tournament.

Parents are MaryAnne and Gary Smith … Has one sister, Stephanie, who also played tennis at Marshall and graduated in 2018 … Mother was a gymnast at Bowling Green.
