2022-23 (Sophomore): Competed in 12 meets on Marshall's returning team, scoring six times ... Finished fourth in the 3K in the opening Marshall Classic ... Finished 12th in the 5K and 14th in the 3K at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships ... Set a 5K personal record in the first outdoor meet, racing a 15:14.02 at the UNF River City Spring Break Classic ... Set a 1500 PR at the JMU Invitational, racing a 4:02.73 ... Finished 13th at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships in the 10K, racing a 32:56.63
PRIOR TO MARSHALL: Branden attended Louisa County High School in Louisa, Virginia. While in high school, he was named Region 4A Champion in Cross Country 2020 and won the Fredericksburg All Area Athlete of The Year 2019. He won awards for his academic success in high school as well, being named student of the year in subjects such as biology, chemistry, and Spanish. After his career at Marshall, Branden hopes to become a video game designer.
PERSONAL: Hometown is Louisa, Virginia. His parents are Daniel and Carrie Wood and he has two younger sisters named Alyssa and Erica. His birth date is March 3, 2003.
