Prior to Marshall: Parrish is a native of Bellflower, California, and began her collegiate career not too far away from home with the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos at the Division II level. She led the team as a freshman in 2019 with 303 kills, an average of 3.37 per set, while playing in all 24 matches and 90 sets. She also finished with 121 digs and 13 total blocks. Parrish had an attack percentage of .300 or better six times with a season-high of .600 in her collegiate debut. She tallied 10 kills, just one error in 15 attempts in the win over Western Oregon.

As a freshman, Parrish tallied five double-doubles coming in the last six matches of the season. She had double-digit kills in 18 matches with a season-high of 24 in a five-set win over Concordia (Ore.) on Sept. 7. Parrish recorded a season-best of 15 digs twice coming at Cal State LA and again versus Chico State in the season-finale.

She was named the 2019 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Freshman of the Year and selected to the All-CCAA Second Team. Parrish was top 10 in the conference in points as well as kills.

After having the 2020 season canceled due to the pandemic, Parrish helped lead the Broncos through a big turnaround in the wins column. After going 8-16 in 2019 and missing the postseason, Cal Poly improved to 23-5 in 2021, were ranked in the top 25 finishing the year at No. 25, lost in the CCAA Final, and advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The Broncos went to the West Region, hosted in San Bernardino, California, and fell to Cal State LA in the first round.

Parrish was second on the team in 2021 with 275 kills, an average of 3.02 per set. She totaled 309 points for the season, averaging 3.40 per set. Parrish ripped off a career-high 23 service aces. She also had career-highs in digs with 235 (2.58 per set) and 22 total blocks.

High School: In high school, Parrish starred for Gahr High School in Cerritos lettering in both volleyball and track and field. She piled up numerous awards and helped guide her team to its first SVGL Title since 1999 in 2016. In 2016, she was the San Gabriel Valley League Player of the Year, Press-Telegram Dream Team Second Team and HMG-Community News Fall All-Area Second Team. Parrish also earned a Non-native Speaker Award in Mandarin Chinese II.

Personal: Born Dec. 31, 2000…daughter of Tyrone and Angelia Parrish…has one older sibling, Tyra, and one younger sibling, Dominiek…lists her mom as her biggest role model because of her “having to take care of all three other children she never gave up on us. She is a strong woman who never gives up, and cares for others and is selfless in her actions,”…After her playing days are over, she wants to use her engineering degree to help others get their basic needs met, like water, food and shelter…list her favorite non-sports hobbies as arts and crafts and volunteering in general, like at local elementary schools and food banks.
