Liz Brown
Liz Brown began as Marshall's Director of Basketball Operations for the 2018-19 season. Brown came to Huntington after one season as a member of the coaching staff at New Haven.

A four-year standout at the University of Richmond, she went on to play professionally for Barmer TV in the German Bundesliga, where she averaged 10 points and nine rebounds per game.

With Richmond, the forward/center appeared in 110 games for the Spiders, making 87 starts. She concluded her career with 645 points, 524 total rebounds, 119 blocks, 74 assists and 59 steals. Her 48 blocked shots as a sophomore was good for second all-time in the school's single-season records and her career mark stood fifth. She also earned a spot on the Atlantic 10's 2011-12 All-Rookie team.

"I am very excited to add Liz to our staff," said Kemper. "She already has some great experiences in the coaching ranks, and a stellar playing career that includes professional time overseas. She will bring a great work ethic and personality to our program."

After graduating from Richmond in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Leadership Studies, she served as an operations intern for Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman with the Nancy Lieberman Charities. She was also an operations intern for the WMLBA's (Women's Minor League Basketball Association) Dallas Lightning last summer.

"I want to thank Coach Kemper and his staff at Marshall for having the confidence in me to come in as its new Director of Operations," Brown said. "I am extremely honored and excited to start my journey with the Thundering Herd!"

A native of Baltimore, Md., Brown earned her master's degree in Sport Management at the University of New Haven in December of 2018.
