Marshall Women's Soccer head coach Rafa Simoes announced the hiring of Dan O’Connor as Assistant Coach and Director of Soccer Operations.
 

“Dan is a phenomenal person and a great coach with an extensive background on goalkeeping coaching,” Simoes said. “After a national and international search, and three phases of interviews and assignments, Dan was the one that stood out. We are glad to have him with us and we believe he will help us achieve new levels with this program. Welcome to the Herd Family Dan!” 
 

O’Connor is a native of England, graduating with a degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Sunderland. He has spent the previous nine years as a business partner in youth soccer coaching companies.

O’Connor additionally played professionally for Darlington and Torquay. The England native also played futsal, winning two league titles and reaching the regional finals. He spent time coaching his university’s futsal team.
