Watrous came to Marshall in the summer 2024 from Ohio University where she served as a volunteer assistant on the staff following her career with the Bobcats.
At Ohio, Watrous was a defensive specialist/libero for the Bobcats, finishing her career with 962 digs and 63 service aces while serving as a team captain in the 2023 season.
Watrous set her career high in digs on Oct. 6, 2023, when she tallied 24 in a match against Western Michigan.
In 2022, she recorded her top individual season, collecting 315 digs with 199 coming in conference play as she averaged 2.97 per set.
Watrous' success was not limited to being on the court, though. The Coppell, Texas, native was a four-time Academic All-MAC selection and a four-time Ohio University Dean's List honoree while also being a two-time recipient of the Heart of Ohio Award.
While at Ohio, Watrous also was part of Ohio University's Strategic Leadership Program, which was a select group of students that joined with university staff to develop leadership skills while also cultivating important forward-thinking initiatives to move the university forward.
