High School: Played at and attended Bellbrook High School where she was a three-time league champion, two-time sectional champion, two-time district runner up and SWBL Player of the Year…named a United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award (for volleyball and swim performance)…was a Senior All-Star, first team all-conference three times…honorable mention all-conference freshman year…first team all-District 15 twice and second team once…varsity team captain two years and set the school record for most kills in one game (22), school record for single season aces (76) and a four-year varsity letter winner…in her career, accumulated 876 kills, a .281 efficiency, 538 digs, and 180 aces…finished second in school history in K% career (44%), single season kill efficiency (.394), single season K% (51%) and aces/set in a season (.92)
Personal: Born Feb. 18, 2005…daughter of Dana and Nathan Melton…her mother, Dana, ran track at Tulsa, while her father, Nathan, ran track at Southwest Oklahoma State…her aunt, Natalie Tracy, played basketball at Southwest Oklahoma State…chose Marshall because “of the amazing coaching staff and the program's emphasis on culture. Marshall feels like where I am supposed to be, talking with the coaches and players truly made me feel at home. I also love Marshall because of its proximity to my hometown and because I can play with my sister at a higher level. It has always been my dream to play collegiately, so I am super excited for this opportunity!”
