Aly Harrell joined the Marshall Softball staff in 2023 after a successful playing career with the Thundering Herd.Â
The Gahanna, Ohio native excelled on and off the diamond for Marshall University, winning the senior CLASS award, becoming the first Marshall student-athlete to win the award. Harrell was also named the 2022 MUSB Warrior Award winner. On the field, Harrell was a four-time All-Conference and All-Region member.  Harrell played in and started 220 total games with 215 starts in her Marshall career. She ended her career with 222 hits, 53 home runs, 171 RBI, 47 doubles, and 175 walks, a program record.Â
Harrell serves as the first base coach, as well as overseeing external operations for the program.
