Christopher Sambuco joined Marshall Athletics in March 2026 as the Assistant Director of Equipment, supporting Football, Softball, and additional sports as assigned. He comes to Marshall from Coastal Carolina University, where he served as an Assistant Intern Equipment Manager. In that role, he managed Under Armour team apparel and football equipment, coordinated with vendors, oversaw a large student staff, and supported all practice and gameday operations, including locker room setup, CoachComm systems, laundry operations, equipment repairs, and travel preparation.
Sambuco also gained experience in apparel inventory, jersey preparation, bowl-game operations, recruiting event support, and teaching student workers essential equipment procedures such as helmet assembly and maintenance. He previously served as a Student Intern Equipment Manager at Coastal Carolina, assisting with prospect camps, OTAs, trailer upkeep, and equipment room operations.
A Maryland native, Sambuco holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sport Management from Coastal Carolina.
