Marshall Volleyball Loses to Ohio

9/28/2001

Huntington, WV? The Marshall University volleyball team dropped its third consecutive match Friday night. Ohio University (2-8, 2-1 MAC) defeated the Herd in four games, 30-23, 30-15, 37-35, 30-15.

?I didn?t think we performed well as a team,? head coach Steffi Legall said. ?We didn?t make the adjustments we needed to make due to injuries.?

Sophomore Isabelle Anderer, a native of Sinsheim, Germany, led the Herd with 20 kills and 9 digs. Anderer also had one service ace. Marshall sophomore Tracey King, native of Miami, Fla. had 10 kills and 8 digs.

The Herd must now set its sights on Ball State. Their weekend will continue when they host the Cardinals, Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Henderson Center.

?I expect our players to be in much better frames of mind Sunday against Ball State and to make the changes and play as a team from start to finish,? Legall said.

The Herd now drops to 3-8 overall and 1-2 in MAC play.
