Herd Volleyball Squad Ready to Face Ohio in Athens

ATHENS, Ohio -- The Marshall volleyball team returns to action tonight to face the Ohio University Bobcats at the Convocation Center at 7 p.m. in a key Mid-American Conference matchup.
Marshall (17-7, 8-3 MAC) is coming off two consecutive victories, both at home, versus MAC power Akron and Central Michigan. The win over CMU followed a five-set marathon win over the Zips at the Henderson Center. Head coach Mitch Jacobs' squad surely needed the three day layoff following a tiresome weekend.
Tracy King, a junior from Miami, Fla., is questionable for tonight's tilt due to an ankle injury suffered Saturday versus the Chippewas.
Ohio (19-7, 9-3 MAC) is seeking to tie its fastest 20-win start in school history with a victory tonight. The 1995 Bobcat team also reached win number 20 in only the 27th match of the season.
Both schools are battling to earn at least a number four seed in the MAC Tournment which would guarantee a home contest in the quarterfinal round on Nov. 26.
