Volleyball Part Of Big Weekend At Marshall

The Marshall University volleyball team hosts Buffalo and Toledo this weekend in the Cam Henderson Center. Both matches start at 7 p.m.
Friday night against Buffalo is parents night. Parents from both the Thundering Herd and the Buffalo Bulls will be recognized during player introductions. The Bulls enter play on Friday with a 9-17 record, 1-11 in the Mid-American Conference. Marshall defeated Buffalo at Alumni Arena on September 28th, 3-1, earlier this season. Buffalo is paced by senior Lindsay Matikosh, a preseason All-MAC selection. The North Tonawanda, N.Y., native is 26 kills and 25 digs away from the 1,000 career mark.
Saturday night, the Toledo Rockets come calling to Huntington with a 10-14 overall record, 2-10 in conference play. UT is led by Jessica Buck, who leads the team in kills and percentage, averaging 3.42 per game and a .311 percentage.
Saturday night is also senior night for three Thundering Herd seniors, Heidi Kuethe, Jodi Fick, and Grace Jones. All will be honored before the match Saturday. The volleyball team is also promoting "Get Spiked In The Cam" night with special promotions and other activities.
