Chris Fritz Named MAC East Pitcher of the Week

Cleveland, Ohio--Marshall University pitcher Chris Fritz was named MAC East Division Pitcher of the Week for his complete game shutout against the University at Buffalo.

Fritz, a freshman from Ashland, Ky., pitched a complete-game shutout, the first of his career, on Saturday, March 30, against the Bulls. In the victory, Fritz allowed only five hits and struck out five. The shutout was the first at home for the Thundering Herd in over two years.
