Bryce Blevins Named 2026 Tony Robichaux Leadership Award Winner

NEW ORLEANS – Bryce Blevins was named the 2026 Tony Robichaux Leadership Award winner as the Sun Belt Conference baseball postseason awards being announced on Monday. Evan Bottone was named First-Team All-SBC with Blevins being named to the second team.

The Tony Robichaux Leadership Award is awarded to a baseball student-athlete who exemplifies the values and beliefs that the late University of Louisiana Coach Robichaux instilled on his players and his community. Blevins was chosen not just for his athletic prowess, but for his work in the classroom and in the community, including running a baseball camp in his hometown of Louisa, Kentucky.

This season, Blevins has made 14 Starts with 102.0 IP, most in the country this season with 11 starts of at least 7.0 innings pitched accumulating an 8-4 record with his eight wins tied for 2nd in the SBC. Blevins has also struck out 86 this season to just 18 walks. The senior lefty threw back-to-back complete games at South Alabama (Apr. 17) and against Troy (Apr. 24).

Bottone was consistent at the plate leading the SBC in hits at 82 and batting average at .387 while ranking second in runs with 57. In SBC action, the center fielder had 53 hits in conference game with a .408 SBC batting average. In 53 contests, Bottone registered 28 multi-hit games (19 in SBC play), including 12 three-hit games.

The Herd is set to begin the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Championship presented by Troy University on Tuesday at 4 p.m. EST/3 p.m. CST in Montgomery, Alabama, against Louisiana.
