Herd Baseball Announces 2026 Fall Schedule

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Baseball Head Coach Greg Beals announced the team's 2026 Fall Schedule on Friday. All fall games are free for fans to attend at Jack Cook Field.

In addition to the fall schedule, the team will have a scrimmage on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Jack Cook Field.

"It is an exciting time of the year as the boys are back on campus and fast at work preparing for the 2027 baseball schedule," Beals said. "With 20 of our 35-man roster being returners, we have a strong nucleus to work with, we have added seven true freshmen and eight incoming transfers to round out the roster. We believe we have brought to our program the right young men to complement our ball club on the field and feed the culture in the clubhouse."

The team is set to have three home games this fall with contests against Ohio (Oct. 2), Potomac State (Oct. 4) and Charleston (WV) (Oct. 12).

"Our fall schedule includes three home exhibition games against Ohio, Potomac State and Charleston (WV), Beals said. "These games are great opportunities for our newcomers to get a taste of competition, Marshall baseball style, and for the entire team to compete against an outside opponent. For me, I want to see the newcomers get that experience, but also see all our systems at work in game situations. We will have a third exhibition game during university fall break at my alma mater Kent State. This is a critical experience for our newcomers to experience how we travel and game day operations on the road."

The fall will conclude with the team's Green and White World Series set for October 17, 18, 20, 23 and 24.

"We will once again conclude our fall season with a five-game Green and White Series, Beals said. "We hope to see our Herd faithful at the ballpark this fall."

Sunday, October 4 – 2 p.m. vs. Potomac State
Friday, October 9 – 5 p.m. at Kent State
Monday, October 12 – 5 p.m. vs. Charleston (WV)

Green and White Series
Saturday, October 17 – 4 p.m.
Sunday, October 18 – 2 p.m.
Tuesday, October 20 – 4 p.m. (before 7:30 football game)
Friday, October 23 – 6 p.m.
Saturday, October 24 – 4 p.m.
