Marshall Hosts Green and White Volleyball Scrimmage Wednesday

Huntington, W.Va.?The Marshall University Volleyball team will play its final preseason scrimmage in the Herd?s annual Green and White Scrimmage Wednesday night. The Thundering Herd travel to Normal, Illinois, to open their season in the Illinois State University Barker GMC Classic this weekend. The scrimmage starts at 7 p.m. in the Henderson Center, and is open to the public. Admission is free.

New Marshall coach Mitch Jacobs inherits a team with all six returning starters and 11 letterwinners returning from last year?s squad that finished 6-21. MU was picked to finish 5th in the MAC East by coaches around the league.

The Herd open up play at home on Saturday, September 21, against West Virginia. That match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start. Admission to all Herd volleyball matches will be free this season.
