BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Marshall volleyball team rebounded from a Wednesday loss to Akron by sweeping the Bulls of Buffalo 3-0 (30-27, 30-25, 30-25) at Alumni Arena on Friday.

Marshall's Tracey King (Miami, Fla.) registered a double-double on the evening with a 13-kill, 11-dig performance. Isabell Anderer (Sinsheim, Germany) also tallied 13 kills for the Thundering Herd (15-10, 5-4 MAC).

MU outblocked the Mid-American Conference's leader in blocks, 9-7, for the match to help guide the Herd out of a two-match losing skid.

Buffalo (8-14, 2-6 MAC) has now lost three straight matches by 0-3 sweeps.

The Herd posted 10 service aces on the Bulls, giving Marshall 224 on the season which is a new school record. The 2002 squad held the old record of 220 service aces.

Senior libero Ashley Barnard (Maumee, Ohio) led Marshall with 16 digs while Katie Stein (Sussex, Wis.) recorded a match-high 43 assists.

Marshall will conclude its five-match road trip on Saturday at 2 p.m. when it takes on the Golden Griffs of Canisius.
