HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall women's track inked their first signee during the early signing period. Teniqua Sutton (Westbury, N.Y.) signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Thundering Herd beginning in the spring of 2004.

"We are extrememly happy that Teniqua has signed on with us," said Head Coach Jeff Small, "She will add more depth to our team in the jumps area."

Over the summer Sutton finished 8th in the triple jump at the National High School Track and Field Championships. She placed first in the county during all four years of high school, and placed first in the long jump two of those years. She has also won the prestigious Empire Games in both the long jump and triple jump.
