El Diablo Intercollegiate Finishes with Wichita State on Top

CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla.- The third and final round of the El Diablo Intercollegiate golf tournament wrapped up Sunday afternoon with Wichita State taking home the championship trophy.
Wichita State finished with a three round total of 877 (23 under par). Kent State was the Mid-American Conference leader, shooting an 886 and placing them 2nd overall. The University of West Florida came in a close third with an 888 and Colorado State and Ball State each tied for fourth with an 889.
Colorado State's Martin Laird came away with the individual victory after shooting 68 in the final round for a three round total of 209. Kevin Warrick of West Florida and Adam Horton of Methodist College weren't far behind, with scores of 210 and 211 respectively. Kenny Cook of Ball State placed fourth with a 214 and Julien Trudeau of Wichita State rounded out the top five with a score of 216.
Marshall University head golf coach Joe Feaganes withdrew his team from Sunday's final round for disciplinary reasons.

The women's El Diablo will take place on Monday March 17th and Tuesday March 18th. Ball State University, the University of Evansville, the Unviersity of Wisconsin and the host Marshall University will tee off tomorrow morning at approxiamtely 7:30 a.m.
