Game One of Herd/'Pack Delayed Until Saturday

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Marshall and North Carolina State baseball series, scheduled for this weekend beginning Friday, has taken a backseat to the wet weather the North Carolina region has received.

Friday's game has been postponed until Saturday, when the Herd and Wolfpack are expected to play a doubleheader to make up for the lost game. Due to poor field conditions at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, N.C., the games will be moved to a site yet to be determined.

NCSU has been unable to play at its home venue, Doak Field, while renovations are being completed. Five County Stadium was selected as an alternate site to Doak Field, but the plan was foiled because of the rain.

The site and time of the doubleheader, plus Sunday's finale, have yet to be finalized. Log onto HerdZone.com for updates on schedule changes, plus game wrap-ups.
