Herd Football To Visit South Charleston
4/3/2003
For the fourth straight year, Marshall coach Bob Pruett will take his Thundering Herd on the road for a practice session during the spring.
For the second straight year, the location of the road practice is Oaks Field in South Charleston. The 2003 Thundering Herd will work out at Oaks Field Saturday morning, April 5, from 10 a.m. until noon.
"This is a great opportunity for us to take our team to our fans," Pruett said. "We have had great responses with these spring practices for the last few years, but the response in South Charleston last year was overwhelming."
The session at Oaks Field last spring drew a crowd in excess of 2,000 turned out to watch the team practice.
Admission to the practice is free. The Big Green Scholarship Foudation will be selling Marco Bobblehead dolls at the practice to raise money for student-athlete scholarships. The bobbleheads will go for $20 each.
