Nicole Michal Named to ISU All-Tournament Team

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Marshall University's Nicole Michal (Louisville, Ky.) was named to the Indiana State All-Tournament Team for her efforts to help lead the Thundering Herd to the tournament title in the Hoosier State from Aug. 29-30.

Michal, a senior, racked up 41 kills (3.42 per game) and registered a .348 hitting percentage in the Herd's three matches at ISU. The outside/middle hitter collected 10 assists and three service aces in MU's season-opening tournament.

Marshall (2-1) won its final two matches of the ISU Tournament, versus Indiana State and UT-Chattanooga on Saturday, after dropping the first match against Montana on Friday. The Herd will travel to Ohio next weekend for the University of Cincinnati Tournament, taking on the host Bearcats on Friday at 7 p.m.
