Track Team to Compete in Ohio State Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. ? The Marshall University track team will travel to Columbus, Ohio this weekend to compete in the Ohio State Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 31. Start time is set for 11:00 a.m.

The women?s track team has had success at this invitational in the past. Seniors Andrea Perry (Cannelton, W.Va.) and Sarah Corley (Fairmont, W.Va.) led the Herd last year. Perry placed in all four of her events, while Corley placed fifth in the 5000m with a time of 20:06:96.

The Herd competed last weekend at the Virginia Tech. Invitational in Blacksburg, Va. Perry set a new school record in the pentathlon with a score of 3604. She broke the previous record of 3331, which she set in 2002.
