Marshall Baseball Finishes Fall Season

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - The fall season for the Thundering Herd baseball team will finish up this weekend with the Green-White World Series.

The Herd will play three games starting Friday at 3 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.. All games will take place at University Heights and admission is free, fans are encouraged to attend.

Next Friday, the Dugout Club will host its 10th Annual Golf Tournament. It will take place at the Esquire Country Club. The entry fee is $75 per person and includes lunch and an after golf dinner and social. There are also prizes in a putting contest, closest to the pin and longest drive. The Marshall University baseball team will also begin holding its fourth annual hitting leagues starting in mid October.

The leagues will take place on Sunday evenings beginning on October 24th and running through December 5th. The leagues will take place in the Auxiliary Gym at the Henderson Center.

The cost of the league is $115 if pre-registered before October 17th. After that date, the cost is $125. For more information contact the baseball office at 304-696-6454 or 304-696-7146.
