Track Completes Day One of MAC Championships

YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Marshall University track team completed day one of the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track Championships on Friday in Ypsilanti, Mich. on the campus of Eastern Michigan University.

Junior Zedmalia Wolfe (Toronto, Canada) placed third in the preliminary heat of the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.64. The finals of the 400-meter will be ran on Saturday.

In distance events senior Shelby Pride (Bethel, Ohio) was the top Herd runner with an 18th place finish in the 5000-meter run with a time of 18.50.70.

Shani Brown (Sr., Chicago, Ill.) placed 15th in the weight throw with a distance of 46-06.00.

The meet will conclude on Saturday. Start time is set for 11:00 a.m.
