Men's Golf Continues Play At St. Croix Collegiate Classic

ST. CROIX, Virgin Islands ? The Herd now sit in 10th place overall at the St. Croix Collegiate Classic after a second round team score of 306. The event is hosted by Xavier University.

Junior Brad Tweel (Huntington, W.Va.) and freshman Shawn Warren (Windham, Maine) led the way with a pair of 75's today. Senior Burke Spensky (Huntington, W.Va.) shot a 78 to follow his first round score of 73, while sophomore Steve Ross (Huntington, W.Va.) contributed a 78 to close the Marshall scoring at 306. Ben Minyard (Avondale, Ariz.) also carded an 81 today. Only the top four scores count towards the team total.

Indiana leads the 12-team field with a team score of 584, with Southeastern Louisiana right behind them at 585.

Individually, Chad Spencer from Fresno State currently leads the tournament with a two round score of 139.

The final round continues tomorrow, with the Herd teeing off at 7 a.m. at the Carombola Golf Club.
