OXFORD, Ohio - Junior Zedmalia Wolfe (Toronto, Ontario) qualified for the finals in both the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash on Friday at the Mid-American Conference Championships.
Wolfe is seeded in 10th place in the 200-meter (24.43) and fifth in the 400-meter (55.46) setting new school records in both events. The finals of these events will be held on Saturday.
Senior Varinka Barbini (Flanders, N.J.) placed 12th in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:37.99 to set a new school record in the event. Shelby Pride (Sr., Bethel, Ohio) finished 13th in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:37.60.
In the field freshman Teniqua Sutton (Westbury, N.J.) placed 17th in the long jump (17-04.00) while senior Shani Brown (Chicago, Ill.) finished ninth in the shot put (45-04.25, new school record).
Saturday is the final day of the MAC Championships. Start time is set for 10:30 a.m.
