Baseball Enters Final Weekend

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - The Marshall University baseball team will host the Buffalo Bulls in a three-game season ending series at University Heights this weekend.
The series will start on Friday at 3 p.m. while the games on Saturday and Sunday are slated to start at 1 p.m.
Marshall enters the weekend with a record of 24-27 and 7-13 in the MAC after taking two out of three in last weekend's series at Ball State. With a sweep of Buffalo this weekend, Marshall can tie the record for most wins in a season. The 1978 team won 27 to set the record.
Buffalo was 15-35 and 4-15 in the MAC after their loss on Tuesday to Niagara. They play on Thursday at Duquesne before heading to Huntington. The Bulls were swept last weekend at Central Michigan.
Grant Harper (Grayson, KY) will be looking to tie the Marshall record for career wins. He currently has 18, one behind Albie DeYoung's record of 19. Chris Meadows (Huntington, WV) will be looking to add to his Marshall and MAC appearance records. He broke the Marshall record of 75 appearances against Niagara and the MAC record of 93 at Ball State. Chris Monaco (Tucson, AZ) will also try and add to his season total of 36 stolen bases.
Sunday will mark Senior Day for the Herd baseball team. The eight seniors on the team will be honored prior to the start of the game. This years seniors include: Grant Harper, Scott Henning, Mike Koitsopoulos, Francois Larmore, Chris Meadows, Patrick Molinari, Corie O'Bryan and Steve Ziroli.
