After falling to the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday night by a 2-1 score, the Herd came out firing on Sunday, recording a season high five goals in a 5-2 win at Bowling Green. The win marked the first Mid-American Conference win of the season for MU as well as the the program's first win on the road at Bowling Green.

Senior Firas Al-Samarraie (Malmoe, Sweden) had a strong weekend, scoring two goals over the weekend, both on penalty kicks. His goal on Sunday at BGSU tied the game and set the tone for the Herd.

Freshman midfielder Jeff Lenix (Westerville, OH) made a significant contribution on Sunday, scoring his first two goals with Marshall. His first goal would later prove to be the game winner at Bowling Green.

Pittsburgh (2-2-2, 0-1-1 Big East) is coming off of a tough 1-0 loss at Big East Conference rivel Connecticut on Saturday. Keeyan Young and Billy Brush lead the Panthers with two goals each.
